   Hootie is a good example of what you can do when your record company
decides to take an active effort in promoting the hell out of you.  Magazine
ads, a single or two in every radio station, heavy rotation of each new video
on MTV and VH-1, it all takes cash and effort.
 
   The Connells may be putting in the effort, but TVT just doesn't seem to
have that kind of money to throw around.
