Well, since it seems that a lot of people have been introducing
themselves lately, I'll give it a crack:
I'm Kerri Burnette, sophomore at George Mason University in lovely
socialist Fairfax, VA.  I'm a Virginia Beach native and that will always
be my home.  I became a Connells fan about 4 years ago (courtesy of my
boyfriend) and have loved them ever since (seen them only 3 times in
concert--Boathouse twice and Strawberry Banks with Bodeans and Del Amitri
this summer).  I met them at the Waterside in Norfolk before a Boathouse
show once and they are incredibly cool.  My favorite album is Ring, with
Fun and Games a close second.  Other bands I have seen in concert are:
--Natalie Merchant (her first solo show) with Collective Soul, Shawn
Colvin, They Might be Giants, and Toad
--Toad (by themselves)
--R.E.M. (YESSSSS!!!) with Grant Lee Buffalo
--Spin Doctors, Gin Blossoms, and Cracker
--Jeffrey Gaines (my cousin plays backup for him--bass)
--The Smithereens
and lots of local VB and Fairfax bands.
 
If anyone knows if the Connells are playing the Boathouse anytime soon,
please let me know!!
