Now THERE is an interesting pick. As sick as I am of classic rock, I
still love old Boston. My mother took me to see them in 1979 on the
"Don't Look Back" tour (along with Poco, the Outlaws, and Van Halen) at
NC State's football stadium. Boy were they terrible. And I mean TERRIBLE,
mostly because Van Halen was so good / blew out a PA channel.
However, Boston came back in 1987 to UNC's "Dean Dome". Tom replaced
the whole band (except for Brad), and it was positively one of the best
concerts I've ever seen. Some of those songs on the first two CD's were
great, and actually sounded better live with the crowd and energy.
Imagine 21,000 singing "Let me!...Take you home toniiiiiiiiggghhhhtttt"
Just thought I'd reflect on that. (Too bad the last Boston CD was
utterly embarassing!)
