The mailing list members may have done this before, but not since I came
aboard. I just wanted to share the story of where I first heard the
Connells' music....

In September 1989, the "Music Plus" record store in my then-hometown, Chino,
California, got an amazing (at least back then) machine called the Personics
System, in which you can have a tape made (within minutes) of your favorite
songs (assuming they were listed in the catalog). You could also preview
some new songs while you're ordering your tape. In their catalog was where I
just happened along The Connells, who were featured in a one-page profile.
"Over There" was on the list, so I listened to a thirty-second-or-so
snippet. That trumpet was what caught my ear. I was hooked! After
listening to the whole song on my tape, I just had to buy both of their
existing albums! And...well, the rest is history!

Anyone else have their own stories they want to share?
