In the same paragraph as the Verve Pipe, also check out The Gufs. A few
have described the singer as sounding "just like the guy in the
Connells". I disagree, but they are pretty good. Atlantic eponymous debut
will released next Tuesday and their first single "Crash (into me)" goes
to radio this week. We'll see! (personally I think we will hear MUCH from
this band).
 
BTW - the singer graduated from Northwestern Dental School on July 1, the
band was signed Aug 1, the CD was finished on Oct 31, and the CD will be
out soon. He still has classmated who are still trying to finish their
dental requirements and he's touring!
