Why did the band bother to put their e-mail address in the disc sleeve
when Black Park doesn't answer any mail. This would seem to be a
great way to piss off prospective fans who are trying to get info on
     merchandise or fan club info.

     Adam,

Can you possibly talk to somebody at Black Park and get an answer as
to why they don't answer e-mail???? It seems that responding to fan
e-mail would be a priority for a band that is trying to expand its fan
     base.

As far as TVT goes, I am originally from Chicago and The Connells
always seem to get a positive response from THE Chicago radio station
WXRT. XRT usually sponsors a couple of their shows on each tour.
The Connells usually go through Chicago several times during a tour,
so they must be doing something. Airplay is another matter, XRT
would play Connells leading up to shows, but airplay is sparse the
rest of the time. An independent label trying to get airtime in the
'90s is a very difficult proposition. They just don't have the
bargaining power. But don't start crying for The Connells, they make
a decent living playing music and drinking beer.(not a bad gig if you
can get it) If they can surpass the sales of Ring with WFD, "hats
off" to them, if not, they're still our boys. Be happy that they are
still out there making great music.

Final warning Atlanta, Athens and Louisville (soon to be in MI,CO and
WI): The Gufs in Athens tonight,Atlanta tomorrow and L'ville
Saturday. Go check out a great band. There are others on the list
who will back me up with this endorsement. If they aren't coming to
your town, pick up their debut on Atlantic and let me know what you
think. They have a pretty cool web
site(http://www.atlantic-records.com/The_Gufs/) check it out on your
     next outing on the superhighway.

BTW, I don't work for them. I just know the brothers in the band, and
I try to spread the word as much as possible.

Anyone who shows up to the Atlanta show, I'll be wearing my official
Connells fan club T-shirt. Come up and say hi.
