Actually, I've noticed that the College Dems haven't been doing as much
sidewalk canvassing than the Reepubs. Granted, that's the only real
difference between the two, but I was kinda wondering (so's my friend
Judith, too) 'zactly why the Dem's gave up on politicking for Clinton. And
why the Reepubs forgot to list `Bush' and `Nixon' and `Ford' &c. in the
little Tradition lecture they left out front of Upham...

: I can say this with the bitterness and acerbic attitude that only a former

Yeah, well I can say a lot of things with my handy-dandy ENGLISH MAJOR
*snort*

: Am I voting for Dole? No. Am I voting for Clinton? No. Am I voting?
: Yes. Libertarian. Am I going to shove it down your throat? No, no, no.

Myself and the Amazing RANDY were recently discussing why we DON'T live in
a democracy, we left off somewhere between a Federal Democratic Repbulic
and a Federal Representative Republic.

Though the libertarian Party hasn't a chance of winning this election,
there are some things that need to be pointed out- that the LP beat out
all other 3rd parties in getting on the ballot in ALL 50 states- even beat
Ross Perot's Reform Party. Also, the LP is the first 3rd party (ignore the
fact I'm an english major there...) to do so twice in a row, in the
history of the US. So the LP is growing in influence, which is why it's a
good idea for those who would like to, to vote Libertarian despite the
chance of getting Harry Browne in office. Especially in Ohio, where the LP
isn't officially recognized yet.

: Speaking as someone relatively objective (e.g., disliking both major party

: disgusted me the most. Was watching C-Span the other day, a Republican
: rally, and all they could talk about was "character". Cripes, folks... if
: you're concentrating so much on something like that, you're definitely
: going to lose.

Don't forget that the National Reepublican Commitee told the reepub
congressional candidates that the new slogan was "Don't give Clinton a
Blank Check". Thereby admitting, even to their own people, that Dole
hadn't a chance.

: Not to mention all the College Republicans' (at least, I assume that's who
: is responsible -- they left no attribution) chalk propaganda left all
: around campus, the most particularly noticeable one saying "Dole and Kemp
: -- Not Lies and Hemp". Real clever, guys.

Oh, I dunno, I thought the Continue the Tradition one was hilarious-
friend o mine pointed it out to me; jeez guys, at least you can remember
Bush??

Oh, and a sincere and heartfelt thanks to ASG for the timely and careful
processing of my absentee ballot! Maybe if I'm still here for the next
election I'll get to actually ..vote.. too.
