Off the top of my head, does not beer consumption have a lot to do with
demographic curves?  What is the age distribution in a population?  Do not
younger people drink more beer than older people.
 
I love beer.  I only wish I was young enough to drink it.  Drinking beer,
although not making my belly button disappear, will prevent me from seeing it!
