Tracey, great to have you along for the trek! Sorry I was comotose
     for most of the drive!

I'd love to meet up with anyone who will be at the SLC show on
Sunday...It should be a great one if we can keep the moshers outta
     there.

Hi all,

I've always wondered what it would be like to follow the Connells
around on tour a la the Greatful Dead--now I know...it rocks! I had a
great time this past weekend, and it was just fantastic to see the
guys do three shows in a row! They truly were "on" in each of the
shows that I saw (Athens, Charleston, and Norfolk), with Charleston
being the best show. The Spoleto Girl, Spoleto Couple, and the
Spoleto Shuffle, and who could forget the appearance of a real and
true Jersey Girl--all of those were just chocolate icing on the cake
of truly a devil's food kind of show.
The cover of "Cruel to be Kind" is indeed a great choice for the
band--it sounded fab in Norfolk, and I'm sure it will only get better
over time. As for the drive to Norfolk from Charleston--I NEVER could
have made it without the fearless leadership of Dede--what would any
of us do without her? Obviously, I made it to Norfolk, but honestly,
I remember very little of that drive--and I'm still trying to catch up
on my sleep (I'm too old for those allnighter deals anymore, I guess!)

Anyway, it was great to meet all of you from the list in Athens and in
Norfolk. All of you in the West, do your best to catch the upcoming
shows--you won't regret it!

"But Toad," said Frog, "I AM happy. I am very happy. This morning
when I woke up I felt good because the sun was shining. I felt good
because I was a frog. And I felt good because I have you for a friend."
