I have received the following information I would like to pass along:

BUILDING PLAN REVIEW/CODE INTERPRETATION
COORDINATOR, SPECIAL PROGRAMS
DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN

The Division of Environmental Health and Safety is seeking an individual to
coordinate and/or conduct safety programs related to building
plan/inspection review to identify deficiencies with mandated life safety
and health codes, rules, regulations, standards, or good work practices and
to develop reasonable approaches to correcting the identified deficiencies.
 In addition, the successful candidate will assist with the full range of
occupational safety and health programs that include, but are not limited
to, accident investigations, industrial hygiene sampling, indoor air
quality investigations, and ergonomic evaluations.  Based on advanced
knowledge (i.e., advanced degree, professional certification and/or
professional experience) the person filling this position will be required
to exercise discretion and judgement to coordinate special programs related
to occupational safety and health issues in the conduct of the following
duties: (1) develop, prioritize, implement and coordinate occupational
safety and health programs that ensure compliance with campus programs and
outside guideline and/or regulatory mandates; (2) coordinate active efforts
and plans to identify, isolate, and/or eliminate hazardous operations,
materials or processes on campus; (3) plan, develop, organize, direct, and
participate in training programs for the campus; and (4) advise the campus
on environmental health and safety related matters.

Qualifications:  An advanced degree in Safety and Health or related field
and/or professional certification such as a Certified Safety Professional,
with five (5) years experience in a multi-faceted, team oriented,
occupational safety and health program with strong computer skills (word
processing, spreadsheet, database and AutoCAD) preferred.  The minimum
requirement for the position is a bachelor degree in Health and Safety or
related field and three (3) years experience in occupational safety and
health in multi-faceted occupational safety and health program (e.g.,
training of adult learners, conducting general safety inspections, follow
up of inspections).  In addition, in depth knowledge of the NFPA, BOCA, and
ADA required with knowledge of the Illinois Administrative Code and
Illinois Plumbing Code preferred.  Strong written and oral communication
skills required.  To ensure full consideration, candidates should submit a
