                       11-12: Sarah Saffian: Sarah Saffian talks about her
memoir "Ithaka" (Basic Books). She was adopted as an infant, and the book
tells the story of how, as an adult, she was contacted by her birth mother
and  developed a relationship with her blood relatives.

                       Thirty years with singer-songwriter RANDY NEWMAN.
Rhino Records has just released a new C-D box set  that tracks Newman's
career, and includes an entire disc of previously unreleased songs.
Newman's most  popular songs include "Short People" and "I Love L-A." He's
also written music for movies including  "Ragtime" and "Toy Story."

among young  Germans.
