Just to throw someone else in the mix, has anyone on this list heard of
Steve Albini?  He has produced several small British pop bands including
The Wedding Present.  His recordings tend to focus on clarity of guitar
chords and he fades the vocals down a bit.  That may be an interesting new
way to listen to the Connells!
