Coming out of lurker status here...
I live in the Dallas area and the 2 times the Connells have played here
the turnout has been dismal.  I hope they come back this way, but I'm
not holding my breath.  Anyway, I saw the the Matthew Sweet/John Faye
show here last week and it was great.  I am somewhat biased since
Matthew Sweet is one of my faves, and I love his new CD, but he put on a
really great show.  Good band on this tour.
John Faye used to be with The Caulfields (sp?).  Also has a good band
with him.  He has a very strong voice and some pretty good tunes to go
with it.  With the addition of the Connells, I can only say this is a
don't miss show.  If you're in the area, GO.  I can't come to the show
(the mind is willing but the checkbook is weak, if you know what I
mean), but I'll be there in spirit.  Back to lurking.
