Editorial says in opting for either silence or spin control, the University
of Dayton has fallen short of its principles of leadership in publicly
dealing with four NCAA recruiting violations, one major and three
secondary.  Also says the university's cloaked reactions stand in contrast
to the credit UD deserves for having taken corrective actions to prevent
similar incidents.

Wilberforce trustee Olusegon Obasanjo is also president of Nigeria and met
Thursday with President Clinton in Washington before visiting the school.
On Sunday, Obasanjo will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters.
