Hello all- Well, I have been watching for this junco and managed to take a picture. It isn't the greatest quality but you can make out the orangish sides and back. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e135/babyhobbes/OddJunco.jpg Unfortunately, I haven't seen the bird since I took the pic Friday. I'll be keeping an out, though. In other news, we went out to Zyleski State Forest in Vinton County yesterday. We walked along the lake there, on the Furnace Trail. It was rather uneventful, but here's the list: WB nuthatchs Red-bellied woodpeckers Carolina wrens American crows Turkey vultures Cardinals Chickadees - these are carolina this far south, no? Tufted Titmice Downy woodpeckers Slate-colored juncos Blue jays No waterfowl despite the large body of water. I was hoping there might be something paddling around. --Sarah Milliron Athens County ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
