Hello all, I went over to Jasper-Pulaski Wildlife Area for the weekend. This is over by North Judson Indiana. I was watching the Sandhill Crane migration stopover. There were several members of the Columbus Audubon Society there as well. The best counts I could give for the day on Sat/Sun, were somewhere between 3000 and 5000 cranes in the area. Also some Red Tail Hawks, and Turkeys. This park is an annual stopover point, and usually holds large numbers of cranes. Pretty cool to see that many birds in one area.
