Tracey, Both resident Peregrines have bees sighted several times within the past week at that site, so your dead raptor was unlikely a Peregrine. Perhaps a RTH. -Patrick Tracey Knierim <[log in to unmask]> wrote: I have some bad news. Tuesday I left work early for the holiday weekend. I was traveling west bound on 480 just past the bridge. On the north side of the road was a large - ish bird that was hit by a car. When passing, I did not see a belly band but did see it had a raptor's beak. All I saw was a lot of white feathers. The underside of the wings were white and the belly was white. I'm not sure, but it might have been our peregrine. Has anyone seen him since Tuesday? Or does anyone know if this was a different species. Sorry for the upsetting news... Chad and Chris, a couple of ODNR peregrine nest monitors, have been chasiing this pair and were finally able to photograph them last week. The pictures are posted on the Terminal Tower falconcam web site. Here's the URL http://www.falconcam-cmnh.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?11696.2 0 There's a whole discussion thread about this pair (the PFs, not the monitors) on the forum, which can be rather enlightening. The birds are both banded, but no one has been able to see the numbers yet. -Leslie Basalla Cleveland _________________________________________________________________ Get FREE company branded e-mail accounts and business Web site from Microsoft Office Live http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/mcrssaub0050001411mrt/direct/01/ ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
