Starting this morning at Longbrakes in Hardin Co., a few of the highlights are as follows:

A total of 3 short eared owls were seen before daybreak with greater numbers expected in the late afternoon. At least 22 harriers left the wetlands at daybreak with another 17 seen hunting over the marsh. A total of at least 39 birds is a pretty impressive number. 47 E. Meadowlarks was also high with many individuals in full song! 39 longspurs were seen in all with a group of 25 flying together. Waterfowl included 300+ Canadian geese, Mallards, Black ducks, Pintail, and a single Lesser scaup being present.

5 white morph snow geese were behind Guardian Industries on the south edge of Upper Sandusky.

The reservoir in Upper Sandusky had a single Mute swan and a single Tundra swan with little else.
