I stopped at Lorain Harbor for about a half hour this morning around 11:30.
There was an immature male HARLEQUIN DUCK at the "Hot Waters" at the end of
Oberlin Avenue. It was swimming within a few feet of the end of the pier,
before heading away from the pier. the only other bird of note seen was a
single adult lesser black-backed gull. There were quite a few common and
red-breasted mergansers and a handful of lesser scaup, mallards and American
coots.
