The weird weather has not brought any weird birds here. I was on the boardwalk briefly today and half expected to see warblers! The tundra swans are still around the area, mostly at Ottawa NWR and adjacent fields. On another note, my seasonal Naturalist Chris Knoll who many of you have met the past two years. has taken a full time position with the Edge of Appalachia Preserve in Adams county. We wish him well, but will surely miss him. Chris is an excellent birder and has a passion for sharing his knowledge. So....we will have an opening here at Magee for a seasonal naturalist from April thru September. The ideal candidate would be a good birder, good with people, able to do school programs, be handy, and do trail trimming. If anyone out there is interested or knows of someone , please have them contact me ASAP. Mary L. Warren ODNR-Division of Wildlife Naturalist Magee Marsh Wildlife Area 13229 W.
