Hi Took the family on the annual "drive for hours to see a bird for 30 sec" trip to see the Harris sparrow--previous birds on this list are the king rail in Columbus and the eurasian wigeon that you could only see from a bridge which had way too much traffic for preschoolers. We were #329 -- we hardly had the car stopped before the Miller boys were there with their log book. The Miller boys were wonderful hosts and the Harris sparrow was most cooperative (well for a sparrow). We stopped at the Wilderness Center in Wilmont -- This place is a real gem and we spent about an hour watching birds at their feeders. I highly recommend a stop here for anyone in the area. The highlight here was the male harrier. Susan Ruth Marengo Northeast Cleveland Heights, just south of America's North Coast Susan Ruth Marengo PhD, Associate Professor Depts.
