I am glad the snows have come, I got tired of seeing the same 15 species of birds coming to my yard feeders. In the past week I've had three new birds (in Italics) visit my feeders, to include Fox Sparrow, Carolina Wren, Pink Sided Junco, Field Sparrow, and Brown Creeper. Occasionally I will have a Coopers Hawk make a pass at the feeders, sometimes he is successful, sometimes not. Other birds Gold Finches, Starlings, House Sparrows, Blue Jays, Mourning Doves, Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Dark Eyed Junco, Downy and Redbellied Woodpeckers, Brownheaded Cowbirds, House Finch, Cardinal, WB Nuthatch, Tree Sparrow, and Song Sparrow. I had very few birds at my feeders until the beginning of January. Did anyone else have this experience?
