I was #361 to sign the guest book at the Miller residence today in Holmes County... and I had great looks of the Harris's Sparrow thanks to the very courteous young men that live there. We watched the bird behind the house near the apiary and we also observed it briefly at the feeders. I reached the Miller residence by taking SR 39 between Berlin and Walnut Creek (DeLorme 51 D5 or East-central Holmes County) and then took Township Road 401 North off of SR 39. There is a sewing machine business right where Township Road 401 joins SR 39. Within one mile of being on 401, you will go down a steep hill and at the bottom of the hill, Township Road 406 is available to the right or East and the Miller home is the third or fourth house on the left (about .25 - .5 mile). There are feeders in the yard along with a half circle driveway. GREAT BIRD and lots of White-crowned Sparrows too! Killdeer were vocal in the nearby fields.
