Flock of Fox Sparrows are still near bridge - per Philip's report below - along with a bat well seen in the daylight ~6pm. Highlight was two courting Downy Woodpeckers. The Downy's were the definition of cute after visiting the staging grounds for the Greater Sandhill Crane at Jasper-Pulaski IN. They displayed a very fast bowing to partner (one to the left, the other to the right) while flicking their wings behind their back - not straight out. The usual suspects were present but also saw a small flock of Fox sparrows 5-6 birds in the ravine area under the Bridge. The bridge is marked on the map as you enter the cemetary. These were the first I have seen this year. Phillip ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
