Lots of open water at Killdeer Plains. Started out slow, but by the end of the day we had wonderful sightings and wet feet. Mulitples seen of all species, except only 2 eagles and 3 sandhill cranes. Seen were Mourning Dove Mallard Red-tailed Hawk Ring-billed Gull Common Grackle Northern Cardinal Rock Pigeon Turkey Vulture Great Blue Heron Canada Goose Coot American Crow American Kestrel European Starling Northern Harrier Dark-eyed Junco Blue-winged Teal House Sparrow Killdeer Eastern Meadowlark Redhead Ring-necked Duck Greater Scaup Lesser Scaup Horned Lark Hooded Merganser Tundra Swan Gadwall American Black Duck Canvasback Red-winged Blackbird Blue Jay Long-eared Owl Sandhill Crane Bald Eagle Good birding, Joan Frederick ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
