Sorry for the late post on this. I birded Worth Family Nature Preserve last evening from 4-5ish with one of the other Naturalists from the parks. We went there to study our wildflowers...but it shortly became a warbler hike instead! Good day for warblers, despite the chilly, drizzle that was falling from the sky. Location: DCP - Worth Observation date: 4/27/07 Notes: WARBLERS! = Blue-winged!! (Life), Nashville, Palm, Yellow-rumped, Yelow-throated, N. Parula Number of species: 31 Turkey Vulture Northern Harrier Red-tailed Hawk Mourning Dove Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Blue Jay American Crow Carolina Chickadee Tufted Titmouse White-breasted Nuthatch Ruby-crowned Kinglet Blue-gray Gnatcatcher American Robin Blue-winged Warbler - 1 Nashville Warbler - 1 Northern Parula - several singing Yellow-rumped Warbler - TONS Yellow-throated Warbler - few Palm Warbler - few Chipping Sparrow Field Sparrow Song Sparrow White-throated Sparrow Northern Cardinal Red-winged Blackbird Eastern Meadowlark Common Grackle Brown-headed Cowbird Baltimore Oriole American Goldfinch Happy Birding to all !
