Spent the morning along Panhandle and Leonardsburg Rd in the Delaware Wildlife Area. Birds seen: Great Blue Heron - 20+ GREAT EGRET - 6 Turkey Vulture - 14 Canada Goose - Lots American Wigeon - 6 Mallard - Some Blue-winged Teal - 4 Northern Shoveler - 6 Osprey - 4 American Kestrel - 1 RING-NECKED PHEASANT - 3 (males, at 3 separate areas) American Coot - Few Bonaparte's Gull - 35 Ring-billed Gull - Lots Mourning Dove - Few Belted Kingfisher - 1 American Crow - 7 Horned Lark - 2 American Robin - Everywhere European Starling - Lots Chipping Sparrow - Few Song Sparrow - 1 Northern Cardinal - Few Red-winged Blackbird - Huge flocks Common Grackle - Huge flocks A quick drive through Delaware State Park turned up: SPOTTED SANDPIPER - 1 (near Marina) PURPLE MARTIN - 1 (lone male atop martin house) ____________________________________________________________________________________ Need Mail bonding?
