There was a Blackbrook Audubon walk led by Jim McConnor starting at Zimmerman Trail and walking to Headlands Nature Preserve and dunes area Sunday 4/22/07. I don't have the exact totals but there was over 70 species as others have the official records. Some of the highlights only: Blue-winged Teal, American Wigeon, Black Scoters 2, Ruddy Ducks, Bufflehead Osprey 1 (eating fish near Shipman Pond) Sharp-shinned Hawk 2 Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Caspian Terns Tree & Bank Swallows Winter Wrens - multiple Both Kinglets - more Ruby Hermit Thrush - everywhere just uncountable Yellow Warbler - 1 seen by others Yellow-rumped - many PINE WARBLERS - 4 (at least 4 seen by Zimmerman Trail parking lot and Shipman Pond all in different plumages) Palm Warbler - 1 (seen by others) Field Sparrows, Chipping, White-throated - many many everywhere, I went back to the fisherman parking area and there were masses of them I can't remember the rest. The Pine Warblers were thrilling for me.
