Hello Ohio Birders, There wasn't much to sing about in the Hocking Hills today, but I had to set up bug traps anyway, so I slogged around a bit in rain and mud. Newly-arrived (past 9 days) 2 miles west of Ash Cave: broad-winged hawk, hermit thrush, catbird, yellow-throated, yellow-rumped, pine & black-throated green warblers, and ovenbird. At north end of Lake Logan, a prothonotary warbler (male, not singing, foraging in the swamp) plus species on Lake Logan already reported by others (common loon, mute swan, osprey, spotted sandpiper, chimney swift, tree & rough-winged swallows). Happy birding, Dave Horn ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
