One Black-throated Blue Warbler singing along the Catalpa Trail was the highlight of my morning at Denison Biological Reserve in Granville (Licking County) today. Brown Thrashers, Eastern Towhees, and Song Sparrows seemed to be everywhere. (They're also pretty thick in my Pataskala yard right now.) Tree Swallows were bickering over boxes in the Tree Swallow Meadow.

I don't usually see Hairy Woodpeckers at Denison, but today I spotted two while I walked the Quarry Trail.

The remaining birds were the expected year-round residents.

Good Birding!
