Today I had the pleasure of hosting Cheri Everson at the Hoover Nature Preserve. It was a beautiful day and the birds were very obliging for us. We visited Oxbow Road, Area N, Dustin Road, the Little Walnut Creek corridor, Old Sunbury Road, Hoover Meadows and Mudhen Marsh. Most of the species gave us great views with the biggest show-offs being Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, Prothonotary Warblers (20+), Black-and-white Warbler and Golden-winged Warbler. The birds for the day are listed below with those only heard followed by a (H).
