After posting yesterday about waiting for a Blue Grosbeak to join the
Rose-Breasteds,(like Glen Crippen had), I was surprised to see a blue bird
on my feeder. Of course, my first thought was "there it is!" and then I
quickly realized that it was a male INDIGO BUNTING. I have seen Indigos at
feeders in Florida and Texas, so I know it happens, but this was a first for
me in Ohio. What a sight! A male grosbeak and bunting side-by-side. Add to
that about 3-5 male goldfinches coming and going and there is a lot of color!

Good birding,
