Hello, I went up to Homestead Park again today with my fiance and had a pretty good day of birding. Just minutes before arriving at the park, we saw an unidentified gull cross in front of us as I was turning north on Cosgray Rd. from Scioto-Darby road. It was fairly small and compact, white with some pale yellow across most of the body.Could somebody help me out with this one? Once we got to the park, we saw more familiar species including: Bell's Vireo (flew right across the trail in front of us to a easy- to- view perch) House Finch (yellow variant) Grasshopper Sparrow Black Turkey Vulture (mobbed by 2 smaller birds) Great Blue Heron Common Yellowthroat Eastern Bluebird (juvenile) Tree Swallow (not as aggressive as 2 weeks ago) Red-tail Hawk (in a steep dive just off trail) A number of other extremely common birds that don't excite me too much! Notable Wildlife: Giant Swallowtail Butterfly Large Fritillary " Gary and Lelani ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
