Compiler: Paul Gardner. Email: [log in to unmask] Western Sandpiper: Kenn Kaufmann found a rare spring migrant at Metzger Marsh on the 13th. Scissor-tailed Flycatcher: Carl Hoagstrom sighted one at Lawrence Woods State Nature Preserve, Hardin County, on the 8th. Bell's Vireo: Rapidly becoming central Ohio's most common rare bird. Gene Stauffer saw or heard at least three along Heritage Trail immediately west of Homestead Park in Hilliard on the 12th. Nate Nye refound one on the 13th. Bob Royce has found two pairs while atlasing Deer Creek State Park, and the pair at the OSU west campus, Columbus, is still in residence.
