For the past several springs/summers, we have had multiple hummingbird families at our backyard feeder. (All fighting of course to be the "top bird.") However so far this spring they have been few and far between. A female came several days in a row last week, but have not seen any hummers since Tuesday of this week. Also, other than what we suspect were migrants early on, have seen no males at all. I know that we're not getting many "hits" because when I change out the nectar every few days not much is gone. We live in Northwest Columbus. Have other backyard birders also experienced this low census? Just curious. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
