Hello Ohio Birders, About an hour ago (1:20 pm) I had a flyby dove along US 23 about a mile south of South Bloomfield. The bird was pale with pointed wings like a mourning dove but seemed stockier and the tail appeared squared off, very similar to the Eurasian collared doves I've seen in other states (and countries). It was by itself. As usual with my route 23 sightings, the bird was headed east at probably 40 mph and I was headed north at 55, so I didn't have it under observation for long. Happy birding, Dave Horn ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
