Hi all, A number of people have asked me if it would be possible to come to the upcoming Ohio Dragonfly Conference just to hear the Saturday keynote speaker, Dennis Paulson. As you may know, Dennis, in addition to being a leading authority on dragonflies, is also an accomplished ornithologist and birder. Many birders have his book, "Shorebirds of North America: The Photographic Guide". Dennis's talk will be about "Dragonflies of the World", he is a great speaker and has an enthusiasm for promoting the natural world, and it should be a wonderful program. Bring your book and have him sign it. The conference is the weekend of July 21 and 22 at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center near Wooster, with field trips to the vast and spectacular marshes of Killbuck and Funk Bottoms wildlife areas, as well as Mohican State Forest. In fact, we'll no doubt see a number of migrant shorebirds at these places, along with many other birds. Feel free to register for all of it, or just Dennis's program. Details can be found at: http://www.gmasohio.org/odes.html Hope to see you there!
