There were 3 Am. avocets and 2 willets at Conneaut from afternoon on today 7/17.  Also semipalm plovers, greater yellowlegs, sanderling, semi and least sandpipers, pectoral sandpiper, Bonaparte's gulls, Caspian and Forster's terns, green herons, juv. black-crowned night-heron, belted kingfishers, purple martins, 250 bank swallows, marsh wren.  A few common shorebirds were found on fine habitat at Orwell marsh, LaDue Res., and East Branch Res. in Geauga Co.   L. Rockwell is starting to develop flats also.   I didn't check West Branch SP.  It seems like there will be a lot of good shorebird habitat across Ohio this fall due to lack of rainfall.  There were also 4 Caspian terns at LaDue.  Later, Craig
