Compiler: Paul Gardner. Email: [log in to unmask] Little Blue Heron: Gene Stauffer reported one from the Hoover Nature Preserve boardwalk, Delaware County, on the 7th. Paul Gardner relocated it on the 8th. Piping Plover: Larry Rosche and Judy Semroc found a banded juvenile just west of the swimming beach at Port Clinton beach, Ottawa County, on the 4th. American Avocet: Craig Holt found one at Conneaut, Ashtabula County, on the 4th. Willet: John Kuenzli found four on the northeastern shore of Hoover Nature Preserve on the 3rd. One remained at least through the 7th. Marilyn Rohr had one at Conneaut on the 8th. Marbled Godwit: Indiana birder Jim Haw found one at Pipe Creek Wildlife Area, Erie County, on the 5th. John Petruzzi spotted one from Hoagland-Blackstub Road at Mosquito Creek Wildlife Area, Trumbull County, on the 6th. Craig Holt found two there on the 8th. Baird's Sandpiper: John Kuenzli found one on the northeastern shore of Hoover Nature Preserve on the 3rd. Philip Chaon found one at Conneaut on the 5th. Long-billed Dowitcher: Paul Gardner and Jeff Grabmeier found a single molting adult at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Ottawa County, on the 4th. Wilson's Phalarope: Philip Chaon spotted a juvenile among the mixed shorebirds at Conneaut on the 5th. Black Tern: John Edwards spotted two at Sandy Ridge Reservation, Lorain County, on the 7th.
