Email: [log in to unmask] Little Blue Heron: Remaining from last week, it was seen by multiple observers at the Hoover Nature Preserve boardwalk, Delaware County, most recently by Charlie Bombaci on the 17th. Mississippi Kite: No reports more recent than a golfer's sighting at the Brass Ring Golf Course, Logan, on the 7th. Merlin: Charlie Bombaci reported a fly-by at Hoover Nature Preserve, Delaware County, on the 17th. American Avocet: Bob Lane found three at Conneaut, Ashtabula County, on the 13th. Scott Felker, the naturalist at Pickerington Ponds MetroPark, Franklin County, reported one there on the 17th. Willet: John Pogacnik had two fly-bys at Conneaut on the 12th. Bob Lane had a more cooperative dozen there on the 16th. Marbled Godwit: On the 14th, Craig Holt added a third bird to the two found last week at Hoagland-Blackstub Road at Mosquito Lake, Trumbull County. Western Sandpiper: Rob Thorn found one at the Hoover Nature Preserve boardwalk, Delaware County, on the 11th, and Ben Warner had a juvenile and possibly an adult there on the 14th. Also on the 14th, Gene Stauffer found one at Slate Run Metropark, Pickaway County. White-rumped Sandpiper: Gabe Leidy found one at Conneaut, Ashtabula County, on the 12th. Baird's Sandpiper: John Pogacnik spotted one at Conneaut on the 12th. Ethan Kisler found one from the Hoover Nature Preserve boardwalk, Delaware County, also on the 12th. Ethan also passed along word that four had been seen at Mosquito Lake, Trumbull County, on the 13th. Wilson's Phalarope: Chris Pierce found two at Sandy Ridge Reservation, Lorain County, on the 11th. Ethan Kisler passed along word that one had been seen at Mosquito Lake, Trumbull County, on the 13th. Little Gull: Conneaut yielded one to John Pogacnik on the 12th. Rufous Hummingbird: A male visited John Pogacnik's feeders at his home at Lakeshore Reservation, North Perry, Lake County, on the 12th. A female replaced it on the 13th but has not been seen since the 14th.
