A large influx of White-throated Sparrows was notable this morning. Other migrants included: Phoebe Eastern Wood Pewee Yellow-bellied flycatcher (I'm having a good fall with these guys) Swainson's Thrush R-c Kinglet Black-throated Blue American Redstart Blackpoll Yellow-rumped (my first for the season) Wilson's My oddball sighting of the day was a bird along the break wall that I believe to be an escaped canary. It was a little larger that a house finch and pale-lemon yellow all over with a slight smudge of orange on the throat. It vocalized several times, twittering. I have no familiarity with caged birds and exotics, but I can't think of any other possibilities. It was a beautiful morning to be out.
