9/9 ~8am-9am I did not ever meet up with the Cincinnati Bird Club, as I just got off work and didn't feel like walking. I decided to just check the beach out. There were 3 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS on the grass before the beach. A group of young people, seeing me and cursing, thought my scope was a camera, they shot off something loud?? and the plovers ran to the water to the left of the beach. While scanning some gull activity scared up from a kayaker, just off from the beach, I heard an odd call - a large shorebird. It then attempted to land on the beach in front of me, but alighted to flight flying right over my head vocalizing - MARBLED GODWIT. It flew around squawking, wanting to land, but the human activity (dogs) moved it on to the west.
