Working today mostly north of Galena, didn't see much in the way of migrants, but I did see: Unidentified Warbler, looked Vermivoraish Red-breasted Nuthatches, not even near pine trees as far as I could tell. Black-throated Blue and the Ceruleans in this place haven't left yet, still heard a couple singing. Also a brief visit to the Hoover Boardwalk... seriously, one of our study sites is just up river from here but this is the first time I actually walked through here, no spotting scope, all I and Laura could make out that was semi-interesting: Large number of Double-crested Cormorants Peeps Unidentified Grebe, looked quite large, maybe a red-necked because it looked big in comparison to the cormorants it was near and had a rather long, light colored bill, swam like a grebe then dived under eventually.
