Hi all: Got a call late this afternoon from Willis Brubaker who found a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE along Wilderness Road at Funk Bottoms WA. I ran out to see the bird. It was still there when I left at 6:20PM. Also present:
lots of Killdeer
8 Greater Yellowlegs
7 Lesser Yellowlegs
2 Pectoral Sandpipers
6 Semi-palm Sandpipers
5 Least Sandpipers
2 Spotted Sandpipers
1 Solitary Sandpiper
4 Sandhill Cranes
2 DC Cormorants
1 Caspian Tern
3 Common Terns
100s of Mourning Doves and Canada Geese
Willis also found a few Semi-palm Plovers before I got there.

The peat company is running to pump to drain this area and the water is going down fast.

Su Snyder, Wooster
