Hi Everyone, Normally, Colombia would seem a little removed from Ohio, Iıll admit. Here I am, missing the fall migration in Ohio, as well as the birding buddies and organizations. But I thought this would interest you. Iıve just returned to Quibdó, a low-altitude city of the Chocó rain forest from Bogotá, to find that in my absence the Spotted Sandpipers have begun to return: each of the last two days Iıve seen one in a local quebrada (stream) in the city. If experience is guide, from now on Iıll see a few whenever Iım on or near the water. Did they pass through Ohio...? Best wishes, Steve Cagan Cleveland Hts (temporarily in El Chocó) PS. If youıd like to see my list from this trip (keeping in mind that this isnıt a birding tripthe birds I see are a bonus), you can check it out at www.stevecagan.com/Choco/Birdlist-Colombia,%202007.html ----- Steve Cagan, photographer [log in to unmask] 216-932-2753 www.stevecagan.com www.pbase.com/stevecagan stevecagan.blogspot.com ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
