I heard from Nick Barber yesterday, and he had the excellent suggestion of sharing Lawrence Hicks's article about Ohio's 1936 invasion of Le Conte's sparrows. A link is below. Hicks took care to mention the habitats in which they were found, ages of the birds, duration of stay, etc. All very interesting. Rob Thorn suggested adding to the list of reasons we are finding more of these birds growing and more widespread knowledge of their habitat preferences in migration, a good point.
