Sunday AM i was walking my dog near a turkey vulture roost in Yellow Springs and noticed a woman in her car looking hard that way- in a dead tree was a large light colored what at first i thought was an eagle but then the woman thought it was a light turkey vulture- she was taking pictures and the roost took flight including the mystery bird- it flew just like the others and seemed to be shaped like the others- but lighter the next day she was back when i walked my dog but i did not see the mystery bird- today the turkey vultures must have sought a drier place and no birds- I read in my guide book that golden eagles look like turkey vultures- anyone seen a golden eagle around? when i recall my first impression i saw an blond "eagle" like head not a bare one like the vultures- I don't know who was taking the pictures which of course would be very helpful Ruth Lapp ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
