Hello

I went to the Coliseum around 9am today. Since it had rained, the habitat for some of the rarer sparrows looked better, but I could not find any. There is, however, a half-dead looking cattail marsh in the woods way off to the right of the field kind of near the road. There is probably half an inch of standing water, and that area looked prime for a Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow, but I could not really check because I was wearing tennis shoes. Lots of Swamp Sparrows though. If someone had rubber boots, I would scope that area out though. Otherwise, the usual wet area in the middle of the field looked alright. Highlights included a fly-over Merlin and a Sedge Wren however. Lots of Eastern Meadowlarks and Savannah Sparrows like usual.
