Hi Rob, Maybe I could go along on this trip on the 30th. I am new to birding and all that I know is from this chatline. But I do go out and look at birds and sometimes even can identify them. (One or two at a time after searching through the books). I am really an outdoor person who has always wanted to learn birds but had no path forward.
