I tried last night to refind the Short-eared Owls mentioned below by Patty and Kim; no such luck. I was there from 4:15 til 6:45pm. A highlight was a flock of 175 Snow Buntings flying past, joining another ten or so buntings already on the ground in with the Horned Larks. At least three Rough-legged Hawks were present, and other raptors in the area included American Kestrel, Cooper's Hawk, and a Red-tailed Hawk assembling a nest.
